Luxury Coupe Fight: Porsche vs. Chevrolet

Today we will present to you two great upper-scale coupe models: from the left corner comes new 2012 Porsche Cayman, for the right corner comes the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. They will be fighting with each other for the title of the greatest coupe in the market segment. As those cars on the outer appearance have not so much in common, we can for sure say that there is more to see than just the exterior, as on the inside these two are also quite different.

In the price perspective both cars are in the upper section, as their price is set somewhere around $50 thousands. If to be more precise, the price tag on new Porsche was $51,900, while new Camaro is sold for $54,095. Now let’s see the core of these two models. New Porsche is equipped with 2.9L 265hp H6 engine. Chevrolet at this sense is much more advanced with the 6.2L 580hp V8. We say “yes” to the horsepower, but there for sure was no need for such a volume… And therefore as we have guessed, Chevrolet is much more worse on the fuel economy, on average it is about 3-5 mpg back than Porsche, which has the characteristics of 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

So in the end we still have to say that Chevrolet won… we hope you understand why!
