Today’s fight will take it to the greatest height you could image. WE are comparing two great models of convertible roadsters – the 2012 BMW Z4 and the exclusive 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. Both cars come from German manufacturers, both enjoy high rating and are considered to be the top on the list. Therefore it is quite intriguing which will win now.

First of all, we start with the price. It is quite a pity but Mercedes-Benz SL-Class beauty will cost us literally twice as much as the BMW Z4. Starting with the price of $103,000 you can buy two new BMWs which start from $48,000. However, when we come to the core, we understand why the difference in cost question was so big. BMW Z4 model of year 2012 comes with the options of either 335-horsepower 3.0-Liter I-6 premium engine, or the 240-horsepower 2.0-Liter I-4 premium engine, or the 300-ponies 3.0-Liter I-6 premium engine. Mercedes-Benz in turn has the options of 518-horsepower 6.2-Liter V8 premium engine and the 382-horsepower 5.5-Liter V8 premium engine option. The difference in ponies is quite substantial.
