Starting with price we see that Lexus seems to keep up much better with the lowering the prices for its offerings, as this great luxury car costs $37,000, while new BMW will cost you almost $50,000. Now lets see the engines that these two great lions have at their disposition. Lexus, as other Japanese cars got 2.4L 187hp I4, not too little not too much, just enough, as we say. Therefore now we see where all the extra money went for BMW, as its core is 3.0L 340hp I6. Though Lexus is far more advanced in fuel economy, offering 35 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.
