As SUV cars are impressive in their exterior and are usually equipped with relatively strong power source, we can say that these types of cars are the most popular in the automotive world. And if those cars are also attributed to the base sport utility part of the section in the market, the popularity of the car will for sure get even higher. So today we have got two new models from the year 2012 fighting for the title, the new Suzuki SX4 Crossover and Kia Sportage.

These two cars are relatively inexpensive for this segment of the market, as the price of the 2012 Sport Utility Suzuki is about $17,000, and new 2012 Kia Sportage costs a little more, with the maximum price of $19,000. Now let’s see what engines are those two cars equipped with. Suzuki got for itself 2.0L 150hp I4 engine, good volume and good horsepower for such a vehicle type. Kia then has a stronger core, as its engine is a 2.4L 176hp I4. Though it is worse on the fuel economy, as it can go for 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, while Suzuki can offer about 3 mpg more on each of the sections.
