Wagons offer additional utility for the people, especially if you are in need of additional cargo space. Therefore let’s see which compact, but still wagon styled model can be named the best. For the fight we have invited new 2013 Toyota Matrix and on the other side of the ring we have the 2013 Mazda Mazda3 model.

These two cars are quite affordable models, though their prices are higher than $20,000. New Toyota costs $20,100, while new Mazda3 wagon styled costs $20,800. The difference is not critical to pay so much attention to it. Now let’s look at the engines of the models. New Toyota has a 1.8-Liter 132-hp I4, while new Mazda3 has a 2.0-Liter 155-horsepower I4. So we see here more power and greater volume with Mazda, though it is even more economic than Toyota, offering 25 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, while Toyota can offer 25 and 32 accordingly.

So in the end we can say that even in the wagon type, which is not the most conventional for Mazda, it wins the fight with its new 2013 Mazda3 wagon body style model, even though Toyota Matrix was quite close.
