These two cars start quite fiercely, as their prices are set fairly close to one another. New Chevrolet Cruze has a price of $17,150, while new Toyota Corolla is just a hundred cheaper with the final price of $17,050. Now let’s see what these two models have as their cores. New Chevrolet as its base engine got the 1.8-Liter 138-horsepower I4, while new Toyota Corolla is equipped with 1.8-Liter 132-horsepower I4. Therefore the difference in terms of the core is not that big neither. Even the fuel economy in the city is the same, they both offer 26 miles per gallon, though in terms of highway driving, Chevrolet Cruze is a little more efficient, as it offers 36 mpg, while new Toyota only 34 mpg.
