Hybrids Fight: Ford vs Toyota

November 9, 2012 at 09:16

The two cars that we would like to put into a fight today appear to be the two great hybrids in the market. The new 2013 year Toyota Prius V model in the wagon version is going to compete with one of the most popular hybrid minivans, especially in US, the 2013 year model of Ford C-Max, which is also in the wagon version. Let’s see how green-power can fight with one another!

The prices of these two models are set at the level higher than $25,000. Though we think that it is not that critical, as the price of $26,650 for the Prius V is quite justifiable, new Ford C-Max is a little less expensive car, though the price of it is still at the level of $25,500. The engines of the two models are quite different, as the power output appears to be very diverse. New Prius got the 1.8-Liter 134-horsepower I4 engine, while new Ford C-Max is equipped with 2.0-Liter 188-horsepower I4. The difference is big, but we still do not think that the owners of Ford will be able to use the whole power that the car offers. Both models got the front-wheel drive.

In the end we have to admit that new Ford C-Max sounds like a better option, though we still are skeptical about the amount of horsepower it can produce.
