September 14, 2012 at 09:14

Today we will see two great models fighting with each other. These two models are placed in the upper-scale sport utility vehicles segment, as they offer great comfort, relatively big cargo and passenger space, as well as high ability to conquer almost any road these days and also great drive with quite a number of horses under the hood. So let’s see which one of these two great models will win, maybe it will be 2012 Buick Enclave or maybe 2012 Toyota Highlander. Let’s bring it on!

The prices of these two models are greatly different, and it is not a wonder, as Buick is higher than Toyota on at least one class. Therefore new 2012 Enclave model will cost you about $38,000, while good old Toyota Highlander of the year 2012 will be $10,000 cheaper, as it has the price tag of $28,000. As the prices, the core is also quite different. New Buick has 3.6-Liter V6 engine that is equipped with 24 valves and gives out 288-horsepower. Toyota in turn got under the hood great, but less powerful 2.7-Liter I4 engine with 16 valves, that gives out 187-horsepower. In terms of fuel economy of course with such an engine Buick will be losing. Toyota can go further for at least 5 mpg in each realm.

But in the end we still think that today luxury should win, so we give the victory to Buick!
