Two Coupe Hybrids Fight: Honda vs Hyundai

Even though majority of people say that Honda and Hyundai are almost the same car brands, real car lover and passionate driver will find enormous differences. So let’s try to see if we are also that much advanced to understand how the two new hybrid models of these two companies are different and let’s try to guess, which one will win the fight! Our guests for today are new 2013 Honda Civic coupe and also 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe model.

These two cars are priced considerably low. Their price tags are even quite similar. All in all if you choose one of these models you will have to give away about $17,500. Though maybe for new Civic some additional hundred dollars may be needed. Now let’s look at the motor. New Honda got the 1.8-Liter I4 that is capable of giving 140-horserpower. New Hyundai in turn is not a lot different with the same volume of I4, but with a little more output – 148-horses.And interestingly enough, new Hyundai is even more economic on the highway, offering 2 mpg more than Honda.

So in the end, even though there are not so many differences, we must say that Hyundai appears to be a really good option, even better than Honda. Differences are minor, but they are enough to say that new Hyundai Elantra Coupe wins the fight!
