Japanese are very interesting to watch in our cars fights, as it appears that in their basic versions they all are pretty similar. Maybe it is a special technique of Japanese automakers to try to offer a very similar product, and let the brand name and driving experience rule the choice of the customer. We will see how it will be today, as we have the fight between 2012 Mitsubishi Galant and 2012 Honda Accord Sedan.

The base price of these two models, as it was expected, is pretty similar. New Mitsubishi will cost you $21,900, while new Honda appeared to be priced at $21,500. Now let’s see what the deal with the engines is. And the tradition of Japanese automakers applies also here. The engines of these two great cars are totally the same, so none gets the winning points. Both Honda and Mitsubishi are equipped with 2.4-Liter I4 with 16 valves. Though the power output is a little different. New Honda Accord with 177-horsepower has 17 horses more than the basic version of Mitsubishi. Also new Mitsubishi got the 4-speed automatic transmission, while new Honda comes with the 5-speed manual.
