July 29, 2012 at 09:41

Today we have a great fight between two bigger sport utility vehicles. We have organized a fight between 2013 model of Kia Sportage and the 2013th Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Both cars are great in the sense of the price-quality ratio offering, as the two of them were named as one of the best Asian big car offerings. They both have quite a good power and fuel economy offering, but let’s get into more details and see who will win this fight.

Starting with price we can see that Kia will for sure cost less for around $2,000. Mitsubishi, as the great aggressive competitor will cost not less than $21,000, while Kia starts from $19,500. This is not that much, especially if we think about the big and powerful cars and the SUV market. On the inner side Kia Sportage is equipped with 2.4L 176hp I4. Mitsubishi, even though with more aggressive ‘face’ got less power and less volume and therefore has 2.0L 148hp I4 at its core. It is not that huge of a difference, and usually you wouldn’t even use all of the power offered, but the fact is still there. And now let’s see the fuel economy. Here Mitsubishis is in the lead, as it can get as far as 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway while Kia gives 21 mpg and 29 mpg in the city and on the highway.
