As smaller cars are getting more and more into the popularity with the modern consumers nowadays we have prepaired a fight for you between two small-sized but still great and far more economic cars, than those big sedans or other. Today we have a new model from the year 2013 of Scion iQ fighting with the 2013 year of Kia Rio5, let’s see who will get the crown this time.

These two models are small and relatively inexpensive, their base price is a little above $15,000. New Scion will cost you $15,385 while new Kia will be a little more expensive with the price of $16,100. The difference is not that big so that we would start to say which one gets the lead, so let’s look at the core that these two models have. For such a small car Scion got the 1.3L 94hp I4 engine, not that bad, we must say, but Kia took the step further and equipped its car with 1.6L 138hp I4. A far more noticeable difference! Though on the fuel economy Scion got a lot too far, as it can offer 36 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, while Kia will go as far as 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

So even though the Scion got less horsepower and volume, when you are thinking about a smaller car you will not need that much of power, so we give the victory to new 2013 Scion iQ.
