Today we will see the fight between two very interesting models. People usually call them ugly or geniusly perfect. The deal for that controversy is usually brought to the light in the specter of seeing that small cars are not made for real man, but we cannot disagree that the tendency for smaller and more efficient cars is the real trend of the future. Therefore today’s fight will feature new 2012 Smart ForTwo and 2012 Mazda Miata.

The price of these cars is set at quite affordable level, though new Mazda will be more expensive, as the price of Smart ForTwo is about $17,600, while new Mazda Miata will cost about $23,470. Now let’s look at the engines. New Smart has a 1.0-Liter I3 engine with 12 valves, which produces 70-horsepower. In turn Mazda Miata has at its disposition a 2.0-Liter I4 with 16 valves and the power-output of 167-hp. Both cars are equipped with 5-speed manual transmission system. Now let’s see the fuel economy, new Smart offers 33mpg in the city and 41mpg on the highway, while new Mazda offers 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
