Let’s now see how the real city cars are going to withstand the pressure of one another. Small cars are becoming a more and more popular trend nowadays, and it is usually quite difficult to spot some significant differences in them, though we are trying to see whether this common perception is true or not. Both cars start from less than $15,000. Though new Scion will be a little more expensive than Toyota. Its invoice price was set at $14,500, while new Yaris can be bought for $13,550. Now let’s look at the core of the both cars. New Scion got the gas I4 1.3-Liter engine with the power output of 81-horses. At the same time new Toyota got the gas I4 1.5-Liter engine and therefore is capable of a little more power and gives out 91-horses. Though new Scion because of its hybrid nature can offer higher fuel efficiency while in the city, and it is 36 mpg, while new Yaris offers just 30. Though on the highway both cars are pretty the same and offer 27-38 miles per gallon.
