Sedans Fight: Honda vs Hyundai

Today we decided to put a fight between two great models, that are sometimes even mistook by people who don’t know much in the automotive world. We present you the fight between two great Japanese models of 2012 Huyndai Sonata and the great and also exclusive model of 2012 Honda Accord. Let’s see whether these two cars are as close as their brand names, or shall never be called sister-brands.

The invoice prices of these two models are quite similar. New Hyundai will cost the owner about $20,800, while new Honda has its price tag at $21,500. Not that big of a difference we must say. And now let’s see what they have under their hoods. New Hyundai got the 2.4-Liter I4 engine with 16 valves, that produces 198-horsepower @ 6300 rpm. Surprising, or not, new Honda got the same engine, with the same number of valves, though the power output is different, its I4 can give out 177-horsepower @ 6500 rpm. And in terms of fuel consumption they are the same. As they both can go as far as 24 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.

So in the end we think that new Hyundai wins, as you get more horses for the same price, having everything else the same!
