New Minivans Fight: Nissan vs. Toyota

July 9, 2012 at 09:24

Today we have two Japanese cars fighting with each other, for the title of the best minivan car, the 2012 Nissan Quest and 2012 Toyota Sienna. These two great cars are considered to be fairly popular in the range of minivans and mainly spealing about affordable family cars of a larger scale. They both appear to have good passenger and cargo spaces offered, therefore let’s try to see which one will have it all in the end.

Starting with price we can see, that both of the models start a little above $25,000. Unfortunately you will have to pay around $26,300 for the Toyota, which is about $700 more than Nissan. Though, we would never get far if we looked just at prices. Let’s look what they have inside. It appears that Japanese manufacturers provided us with two identical models… Nissan has at its disposal 3.5L 260hp V6, while Toyota got a little, and we say a little, we literally mean that, more ponies with 3.5L 266hp V6. Do you see the difference? Not even with the glasses? Let’s now try to find the difference in fuel economy. Here it is quite interesting, as Toyota can give you 18mpg in city and 25 on highway, while Nissan gives 19 in the city and 24 on the highway. It appears that two of these cars can be used interchangeably.
So what can we say… No one wins in this fight!
