New Hatchbacks Fight: Honda vs Toyota

As the theme of green energy and fuel economy is becoming increasingly important, we decided to devote one more cars fight press release to this topic. Today we will see how new 2013 year model of Honda Insight is fighting with 2013 Toyota Prius C. We may have looked at the 2012 year models of these cars, but now it is time for new generation!

The price of new Honda is much more affordable and majority of green cars. It may be quite sad to realize but majority of the electric and hybrid cars are priced far more than $25,000. Though new Honda Insight got the price of $18,000. While new Prius appears to be closer the market average as its price is $21,700. The core of new Honda Insight is 1.3-Liter 98-horsepower I4, while new Toyota Prius C got the 1.5-Liter 99-horsepower I4. In terms of fuel economy, Toyota is still in the lead, as it offers on average 53 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway, while new Honda can offer just 41 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.

So in the end a bigger investment into new Prius C seems quite justifiable, therefore we think that Toyota wins this fight!
